The Palace first opened on 24 May 1873!

There’s plenty planned throughout this celebratory year for everyone to enjoy, including community events and new Creative Learning projects, plus a packed programme of live music, festivals, theatre, sport and comedy. We hope to have a few surprises along the way too.

The Parkland Walk is the longest linear nature reserve in London at 4km in length, and follows the former railway line connecting Finsbury Park to Alexandra Palace that opened in 1873.

Situated in Muswell Hill, between Muswell Hill Road, Onslow Gardens, Connaught Gardens, Queen's Wood and Priory Gardens. This wood covers 52 acres of oak and hornbeam trees where in 2008 they found 27 bird species breeding.
